Testing and Health Code Application Requirements for Airline Passengers from South Korea to China

Effective November 14, 2022


1. Take ONE PCR test 48hrs before departure date 00:00HR at any legal clinic or institution in South Korea (Please see attachment for a reference list of testing clinics or institutions).

2. Reports issued by all legal testing clinics or institutions in South Korea are recognized, including electronic versions, paper versions, emails, text messages, etc. There are no format or language requirements, but the content must indicate the passenger's name, passport number, date of birth, date of sampling, etc.

3. Apply for a green code with the negative PCR test report from the Chinese Embassy or Consulate-General in South Korea (based on consular jurisdiction on the testing clinics or institutions).

Following the steps to register, submit personal information, upload the test report and all other required documents (passport data page, valid Chinese visa or resident permit, etc.), truthfully and accurately answer the questions about your personal information and health status, including but not limited to fever symptoms, contact, and travel history.

The passenger will get a green code with the HDC. He must present the code within its validity period to the airlines for inspection before boarding the flight.

4. Babies and toddlers under the age of 3 do not need to be tested or apply for a health code.

5. Consulate-General of the People's Republic of China in Jeju verifies the health code between 9:00-20:00 every day (including holidays). Applications made after 20:00 will be processed the following day from 9:00. Please apply at least 24hrs before the flight departure.
